Howdy Folks:
As of January 1, 2005, The Green Lounge will change it's status from a "Professional" internet radio provider to an "Amatuer" internet provider.
As a devoted listener, this switchover will change the way we are able to deliver our ecclectic playlist rather dramatically in several ways.
The Green Lounge will only be able to be launched from our delivery provider, Live365. We will no longer be able to provide our format through Windows Media, RealPlayer or WinAmp or through our website portal.
Instead, you must register with Live365.com and download their player. You can do this here:

You do not have to pay to listen, but you do need to register an account with Live365. Preferred membership does have it's perks.
We are currently attempting to negotiate our I-Tunes listing with Live365, but at this time we do not have confirmation that Live365 will continue to support that.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause those listeners.
The reason for these changes is a financial one. We have supported the Outletradio stations through our own personal funds with additional funds being provided by some of our loyal listeners and ad revenue over the last three years. Myself being unemployed for the last six months, of course, does not help our financial situation and we have been unable to procure enough funds to pay for our licensing and royalty payments required to continue to provide internet radio services from our station this year.
What will not change is the content provided on the Green Lounge - the great jazz, swing and lounge music that you have become accustomed to. We are still devoted to bringing one of the best internet radio playlists of the genre to you as we always have and will continue to add new artists and CD's to our playlist as usual.
The website will continue to provide all the same great content that it does and nothing will change in that regard other than the stations cannot be launched from the website according to the rules of broadcasting.
We hope that you will follow us to Live365 as we regretfully make these changes and I look forward to continuing to see you out there in Lounge-Land.
Thank you for your patronage and may the new year bring you all that you hope for.
Sincerely,
Steve Lambert

New Cuts and Albums from the following artists have been added to the playlist:
Christopher Moyer - “The First Time”
This CD is a mix of standards and original tunes with the standards swinging and the original material being more on the fusion/pop side of jazz. Highlights include the originally penned “Movin’ On”, “Off the Guardrail”, “Mount St. Helens” and the standards “Old Devil Moon” and “Beyond the Sea”. Mr. Moyer’s vocals are adequate throughout the album, but his clarinet and saxophone stylings were what sold me on this CD. The band, itself, has a great big band sound with a definite sense of swing throughout with arrangements that are well suited to this group of musicians from the Pacific Northwest. For more information or to purchase this CD, please visit Christopher Moyer.
2 of 4 Martinis!!
Ray Jozwiak - “Chromatose”
Ray is an incredible pianist and this CD shows you his unique and cutting edge jazz style in spades. Although very difficult to pigeon-hole and self-admittedly unique to any genre, his style is at once esoteric yet melodic and demands the listener to really pay attention. His writing takes you on jazz journeys that take you to places you never expected to go and make Ray an interesting listen. I like to call this “Brandy Music”, cause it goes so well with a snifter in hand. My personal favorites on this all-original CD are “Spencer’s Mambo” and “That Much.” You can catch Ray at the piano regularly in Baltimore at the Belvedere on Thursday Nights. For more information on Ray or to purchase this CD, please visit www.rayjozwiak.com.
3 of 4 Martinis!!
Charles King - “Tucson Nights”
This is a lush and subtle set of latin-esque tunes showcasing Mr. King’s virtuosity of all things guitar. All of the original cuts on the CD are just breath-takingly beautiful and leave the listener only wanting more. Standout cuts for me included “Milonga”, “Rosewood” and “Rhumba”. Mr. King plays most of the guitars on the album with additional musicians filling in with aplomb. Although he is a classically trained guitar master, his knowledge and skill at both flamenco and jazz guitar really shines through on this delightful CD. If you are an acoustic guitar lover, this is a must have album. You can find out more about Charles or to purchase this CD, please visit Charles King.

After listening to Rebecca Kyler Downs' CD, "Love Me Like Candy", two things kept entering my mind - I want to be her new best friend and I want to touch my butt and make a sizzling sound.
Ms. Downs collection of original material and songbook standards is a delightful diorama showcasing a woman who wants to find love and a "daddy", but certainly on her own terms and to suit her fancy.
The album is peppered with original gems like "Love Me Like Candy" written with Brian Schwartz (a featured song in the movie "Cooler") which speaks volumes of where this album is going - she may be sweet, but honey, underneath that wrapper is a vixen at heart. "Béarnaise" with songwriter Red Young is a witty and delectably naughty romp through a land reminiscent of Blossom Dearie, yet updated to Ms. Downs' flair for pastiche. "Boogie with the Bad Cats" is hot and swinging with a great band to back up her pipes and make one want to cut a rug.
One of my favorite pieces is a cover of "Love for Sale" set to a titillating Latin beat that is immediately infectious. She even does Sondheim justice with her sexy rendition of "Sooner or Later." Touché!!
The arrangements are lush and full with wonderful solos by the band members that only enhance Ms. Downs' spectacular voice. The production values of this recording are rich.
All in all, it's just a ding-dang fine album by someone I am glad to have discovered. Ms. Downs is someone I will watch in the future, as I think she really has something special.
To learn more about Ms. Downs or to buy her CD, please visit www.rebeccakylerdowns.com. The red gloves alone are worth the trip to the website.
