EMAIL: Heavy Heart
November 04, 2004Another email sent to me. All seem to express deep sadness in feeling rejected by family and friends and attacked by Republicans for political gain. As hard as it to accept, there is a lot of work to be done. I don't know what fate holds for our country, or exactly how history will judge this president. I do know what I think of him. EMAIL: Sadness over Bush Victory
November 04, 2004A couple of emails from today: an email sent to me from transgender Testimony to the power of marketing over reason...Americans say they were concerned about "moral values", so they voted for the man who doesn't have any. God help us all. EMAIL: Get A Job
October 28, 2004Here is an email in response to my post Rosie and Cher a Flop With Florida Voters. I would suggest a career in something other than journalism. In 101 they teach you to verify your story using three CREDIBLE sources. Matt Drudge is not credible, period. He gets paid to fire people up and people that lack in certain kinds of intelligence seem to flock to him. Have a good life! EMAIL: Serving in Silence
October 22, 2004Jean from Texas writes: Hi Christian! I don't know any of the gay and lesbian soldiers currently serving in the war but I would REALLY like to send some care packages. Do you know how I might get some addresses to send the packages to? I've spent hours online and can't find any. It's frustrating because I really want to show my support. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me. There are a couple of great sites online where you can speak with family and loved ones of gay and lesbian servicemembers serving in Iraq. Gay Soldiers Partner Network - visit the forums and chat and inquire about care packages efforts here. It is reported that 65,000 gays and lesbians are serving in silence. The one thing that keeps our troops focused and resolute on the battlefield is a strong connection to their families at home. Soldiers speak openly of their families and bond with one another over photos and stories of their loved ones. This crucial element of support is denied gays and lesbians serving in Iraq by 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' | |||||||||||||||||||
