As I pointed out last week, the Bush Administration continues to stonewall requests for clarification on why they are quietly undermining federal workplace protections. (via Americablog)
Five Members of the House of Representatives are accusing Scott Bloch, director of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, of stonewalling in their call for a clear answer on whether LGBT federal workers are protected from discrimination. The OSC is responsible for enforcing workplace guidelines in the civil service.
Last September Bloch told Reps. Barney Frank (D-MA), Eliot Engel (D-NY), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), George Miller (D-CA) and Henry Waxman (D-CA) he would give them a written answer "soon". Five months later the five say Bloch has not provided the answer.
