Jerry Falwell is ready for the President and Republican party to act on the moral majority's "moral issues" mandate. Falwell was so kind to recognize we're at war as he made his way down the short list.

FALWELL: I have a little problem with Mr. Specter. Robert Bork was maybe the most qualified member of the Supreme Court ever to go up there, and Specter is one of the guys who shot him down. I have a hard time forgetting that. I want to see the federal marriage amendment passed as early next year as possible. I am not talking about stopping the war to do that, but I am saying that we waited a long time and this -- we didn't start this battle, but these are the people who helped put 55 senators in place and a majority in the House.
