White House Goes Completely Lesbians!

October 14, 2004

The White House simply cannot believe the public acknowledgement made by Kerry in last night's debate that Mary Cheney is a lesbian.

"I don't think it was appropriate to bring in the private life of Vice President Cheney and his daughter into this debate at all," White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett told Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity.

"I thought it was inappropriate and I don't think people like that type of personal politics being brought into the campaign this late in the game," he complained.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Lynne Cheney and Dan Bartlett to publicly rebuke the Vice President for also directly acknowledging his lesbian daughter on the campaign trail.

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Well, the question has come up obviously in the past with respect to the question of gay marriage. Lynne and I have a gay daughter, so it's an issue that our family is very familiar with. We have two daughters, and we have enormous pride in both of them. They're both fine young women. They do a superb job, frankly, of supporting us. And we are blessed with both our daughters.
